The operation combines dangerous goods and OOG cargo, two of the most demanding elements in project logistics, managed end-to-end by SevenLog’s cross-border team

SevenLog, Conqueror member in Tema/Accra, Ghana; Lomé, Togo; and Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, is currently overseeing the export of a complex project cargo shipment from Ghana to Morocco. This project brings together two of the most demanding cargo types in the industry: dangerous goods (DG) and out-of-gauge (OOG) freight.

Shipments of this nature leave little room for error. The presence of hazardous materials introduces a strict layer of regulatory compliance, documentation requirements, and handling protocols that must be met at every stage. Alongside this, the oversized dimensions of the OOG cargo demand purpose-built transport arrangements, careful route planning, and precise load management to keep the operation moving safely and on schedule.

For this project, their team had to deliver 310-ton engines from France to Ghana for onward transport to Burkina Faso

SevenLog, Conqueror member in Tema/Accra, Ghana; Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and Lome, Togo, is making a major contribution to Burkina Faso’s energy infrastructure through its involvement in the expansion of the Komsilga Power Plant. As part of this high-priority project, the company is currently mobilizing vessels from St. Nazaire, France, to transport three 310-ton engines to Takoradi Port, Ghana. From there, the equipment will be moved inland to the Komsilga site for installation.
